Mila Antova, PLA – Senior Associate

Notes

Mila first encountered the art of landscape architecture while growing up in Bulgaria – a very small country with diverse landscapes and rich history, nestled on the Balkan Peninsula in southeast Europe. She studied landscape architecture at the University of Forestry in Sofia, then completed her studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a Professional Landscape Architect licensed in the State of Maryland.

After obtaining her degree, Mila joined Parker Rodriguez in 2006.  She has participated in three 'Greening America’s Capitals' projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Frankfort, Kentucky, Lansing, Michigan, and Richmond, Virginia. She was the Project Manager for ‘Design for Resilience in Brattleboro’s Lower Whetstone Brook Corridor’  a project in Brattleboro, Vermont completed for the U.S. EPA under ‘Making A Visible Difference in Communities’ program. This project won the 2017 Potomac Chapter ASLA Honor Award in Analysis and Planing.

Mila brought her passion for creating artful landscapes of discovery and exploration to Moody Graham in 2017. She has always been intrigued by nature, its beauty, its power, and its irregular perfection. Mila is particularly interested in understanding the changing dynamics of nature and how this informs design that leads to artful, resilient landscapes that evoke dialogue and promote human interaction.

Mila likes going on adventures and exploring the world through the lenses of her two wild and wonderful boys.
